Updated: it only got worse, very heavy and wont recognize my login, pathetic Why does it have to weigh 350mb? The old app was much lighter for something very similar. The economist takes seconds to download.

Has never worked well. Does anyone here eat their own food?
This is a surprisingly poor app for a magazine that is otherwise on target. It takes forever to load, doesnt load new issues automatically, and if the loading process is interrupted at any stage, even at 99%, one must start over again from the painstakingly slow beginning. I wrote a harsh criticism last year and so have many others since...no improvement. Why not take a page, literally, from your competitors and get this right? Surely frustrating your readers isnt the intent?
I love this app, easy to manipulate.
I really like the app but to get 5 stars you have to fix the crashing problem. It totally freezes my iPad up and I have to restart.
The app has numerous bugs and the download files are too large. With the latest updates, I cant access any digital downloads and it is only allowing me to "preview" or "buy" an issue even though I am a print subscriber. The content has been going downhill and with these bugs in the app, I will probably not renew this year.
How come the avatar is a magazine cover from months ago? It wont change or update to the current issue like every other magazines app.
Interesting selection of articles, well written and to the point.
The stories are well written and interesting. The app actually works quite well.
Lived Manhattan 35+ yrs. Upstate NY 15 yrs now and bi-weekly anticipate "Big Apple fix". Often fascinated and greatly entertained by print and puzzle. I look forward to it very much. It helps me pretend Im still there, in the heart of it all.
The New York Mag app is easy to use and the content is fantastic. Better than dealing with carrying around paper. My only complaint is slight - no rotation feature for content.
You gotta love the wit and flare of the staff at New York magazine
Best content, best writing.
Crashes a lot. Newsfeed is bare bones. Only displays nymag.coms most popular stories.
Also has the best iPad version around of any magazine.
Love the look and feel of app. Great for commutes.
I love this magazine. The writers do a great job telling us more and more about my favorite city.
Ive subscribed for years. It keeps on getting better. Like having two weeks to read it as well.
Very readable and easy to read on the subway.
